My Approach

Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

I am currently pursuing advanced studies in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic therapy at the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia. This approach deeply resonates with me, as I believe it can help us all lead fuller lives and achieve greater peace and well-being.

Psychodynamic therapy addresses concerns such as work issues, relationship challenges, and other life difficulties. We explore these problems in depth, developing understanding and coping strategies. However, we also investigate whether these issues are part of larger life patterns with deeper roots. This process requires commitment and courage, as we explore past experiences that may be impacting you today.

In our sessions, no concern is too small or insignificant - we commit to discussing whatever is on your mind without judgment. I strive to create a supportive, collaborative environment where we can explore creatively and curiously.

This approach may take time, but it often leads to profound and lasting change. If you're interested in learning more about psychodynamic therapy and whether it might be right for you, I encourage you to reach out and schedule a consultation.

Mindfulness

I have completed the Level 1 training in Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), as well as training in Polyvagal theory and Gabor Mate’s Compassionate Inquiry. I also have experience in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, MBSR.

These modalities are complimentary, and are all considered to be mindfulness based therapies. Mindfulness in therapy helps to develop an ability to observe the thinking and feeling that goes on throughout your day, it creates some space between you and your thoughts and feelings.

If you’ve struggled with trauma, substance use, or any other addiction, creating that space is crucial and a huge relief. If you’d like to learn more, contact me.
